About Me
I am a Japanese actor, voice-over artist, fight director, BADC certified senior instructor and
a BECTU registered intimacy coordinator.
Nearly 3 decades of working in this creative, challenging and ever-changing industry in the U.K., I have cultivated an eclectic skill set that spans multiple creative disciplines.
Rather than feeling like a "Jack of all trades", I choose to think of myself as a bowl of delicious ramen noodles (bear with me, it will make sense in a sec!).
A bowl of authentic ramen is a harmonious medley of contrasting unique flavours, colours, and textures. Similarly, my career brings together seemingly distinct elements—acting, voice work, fight directing, and intimacy coordination—into a unified whole. Like a skilled ramen chef, I blend these facets with care, ensuring that each project I undertake leaves collaborators with a sense of satisfaction, warmth, and inspiration.

As an actor, I enjoy choosing productions and stories that bring joy and allow me to explore infinite creative possibilities. From My Neighbour Totoro (RSC) to a one-person Kamishibai storytelling shows that I create and produce with A Thousand Cranes Theatre Company, I love connecting with the audience with my passion for storytelling and share the magical imaginary world of theatre.

On screen, my comic timing and playful energy have always served me well. Playing one of the series' regular characters Yasuko on all 7 series of the BBC cult comedy Ideal to presenting an award winning CBBC’s show Officially Amazing, I am fully committed to serve and entertain our audience whilst having an immense fun working with hugely talented artists and crews.

Working as a fight director and intimacy director (for theatre)/ intimacy coordinator (TV& Film), my priority is to create a space which everyone involved are compassionately looked after so that they are able to fully commit to their creative challenges and produce their best work.
I offer my expertise and experience to bring authenticity, precision and excitement to those violent and/or intimate moments in every productions I work on. I thrive in collaborative process and I humbly trust that my creative flexibility will always lead me to discover greater physical storytelling.

As a Japanese creative professional in the U.K., I am deeply aware of the importance of representation in the arts. I actively seek opportunities to work with productions that elevate marginalized voices and advocate to showcase stories and talents from diverse cultural backgrounds. By collaborating with creators from all walks of life, I aim to contribute to a richer, more inclusive tapestry of storytelling.
When I’m not immersed in my work, you’ll often find me at home in Southend-on-Sea, exploring the local beach and parks with my partner JC and our spirited daughter, Iris-Mia.
I am a proud member of Equity and currently serving as a Stage Actor committee member.
I am an Intimacy Coordinator on the BECTU IC Registry.
